DFO has been denying the link between salmon farming and the spread of piscine orthoreovirus (PRV) for over a decade, burying its own findings that the virus can be lethal to wild salmon. Now that those findings have finally been daylighted by the Information Commissioner's order, it's past time to revise the policy that lets industry put infected fish in the water.
