Things have gone from bad to worse with the north coast oil tanker moratorium. Senators in the Transport and Communications Committee voted against passing Bill C-48 on May 15. The vote was tied, with Alberta independent Senator Paula Simons voting with the Conservatives to defeat the bill. It's not over yet, though: the full Senate can still decide to pass it. Senators need to hear from you that you expect them to deliver on the government's promise to protect the north coast from oil spills. It's time for all hands on deck!
