Share your view on DFO's aquaculture transition plan consultation

Public consultation on Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO)'s Salmon Aquaculture Transition Plan is now closed.  We thank everyone that took the time to let the current government know that you expect the government to live up to its promise to remove open-net pens from BC waters by 2025.

The Living Oceans campaign provided the public the opportunity to send a one-click letter to their representative, expressing their dissatisfaction with the public consultation for the Salmon Aquaculture Transition Plan. DFO’s multiple-choice survey was predicated on the assumption that ocean-based salmon farms are here to stay and the content of a transition plan was found to not meet expectations of the government’s promise to ‘transition open-net pens from B.C. waters by 2025'.
