Ocean Exposures Photo Contest Rules
Please read this entire document--it contains vital information to ensure that your photo entry is valid.
Photographs must be entered into one of 3 categories, described below. If you fail to choose a category, the default category is "Working or Playing on the Ocean". If the subject-matter of your photo does not match the category in which it is entered, it may be disqualified by our judge. Choose your category from the drop-down box when uploading your photo. Also, this year we request that all participants please follow safe social distancing practices while out and about taking photos. Participants may submit no more than 10 photos per category.
1) Below the Surface: shots may be taken under water or from the surface, but must depict life, objects or landforms beneath the surface.
2) Coastal Wildlife: from birds in the sky to fish in the sea, so long as it's wild and there's an ocean in sight, your photo of it qualifies here.
3) Working or Playing on the Ocean: the focus here is on people who derive a livelihood or enjoy recreation on the ocean.
Bonus Category: This year, we're posting all of your entries to Facebook and letting our supporters vote for their choice. The Sea Huggers' Choice award will go to the photo with the greatest number of 'likes' at the close of the contest.
