Donate Securities

We've made it easy for you to donate your securities, including stocks, bonds, and mutual funds. By donating securities directly to Living Oceans and Canadian Coastal Research Society, as opposed to selling them and donating the proceeds, the capital gains tax can be eliminated. This means more money to support the work you believe in and a greater charitable tax credit for you.

Where does your support go?

When giving to Living Oceans, you can choose the campaign you want to support!

1. Clear the Coast - Remove plastic marine debris from North Vancouver Island's sensitive foreshore habitat.

2. Wild First - Working to remove open net salmon farms from wild salmon habitat.

3. General - Not sure where to place your support? We can direct your donation where it is needed most!

Please note, when donating securities you will receive an emailed charitable tax receipt from Canada Helps.  It will reference Canadian Coastal Research Society (CCRS), a charity that works with Living Oceans. Living Oceans works with its charity partner CCRS to undertake its charitable work.
